Triple Trees is a home from home establishment with the emphasis being on HOME. With our highly
motivated team of careers, housekeeping, Kitchen and management staff we all work as one to provide that
home from home atmosphere in the home. Our ethos is based around the  maintenance and promotion of
independence, always protecting our residents dignity, privacy and freedom. We encourage our residents to
keep their own GP should they wish, though we do have a local GP Practice which we highly  recommend as
this does help keep all medical records up to date and in one place, we also like the fact that our visiting GP
does make a regular visit (ward round) and this helps the GP get to know our residents on a one to one
basis.
We are situated in Burgess Hill which is a typical small countryside town in the heart of West Sussex, 6 miles
north of Brighton, Burgess Hill is easily found off the A23 either from London or Brighton area. Please see
our contacts page for more details on how to find us.
We get to know our residents on a personal level, understanding that they all have their very own personal
stories to tell and we are ready and passionate  to listen. We have found that by listening to the individual
we can base a care plan around their personal needs, likes and dislikes, personal preferences and how they
like to live on a daily basis. By understanding we can build on our relationship with not only our residents
but also their families as well, knowing that they too may be struggling to understand what is actually going
on.
We cover every aspect of care, always encouraging independence in care though assistance is always on
hand from our friendly staff, we will offer as little or as much assistance as is needed.
We recognise that dietary needs can be divers and varied depending on culture, religious and personal
preferences, and we offer a wide range of meals including vegetarian diet as well as soft or pureed meals for
those who either prefer the soft option or because they simply have no choice, we are of course always
mindful of health conditions which could have an impact on a person's diet, diabetes for example.
At Triple Trees we pride ourselves on being able to provide one of the best home from home environments
in West Sussex, knowing the importance of the individual we base our training programs for our staff on
these principles, where all staff are expected to go through special training throughout the year in order to
keep up to date with current legislation, we feel this is particularly important as we staff the home 24/7 365
days of the year, always excellent levels of staffing so as to meet the needs of our residents, we even have
our own in  house training program provided by the Manager and our Activities coordinator (admin)  being
specially trained to carry out all important training sessions on a regular basis, these sessions cover every
aspect of care from personal care, and how that is person centred and how to deliver that to a very high
standard, to some of the basic understanding of Dementia and how that has an impact on the individual as
well as their families and friends.
Our in house training also extends to the protection of the individual helping our staff to know and
understand all aspects of safeguarding, how to recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse and how to
report things properly in accordance with the law and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) 2018,
as well as the homes policies and procedures.

Therapy Dolls
Therapy Dolls

We encourage the use of Therapy dolls and cuddly toys, and even pets we have found this can help a person with advanced confusion/cognitive impairment to relax, and even help to stimulate conversation about past times. By giving some residents lifelike dolls to care for and love the dolls can become an integral part of their life, as caring for the doll becomes a major part of their day to day responsibilities. This type of therapy is also said to bring back some happy memories of early parenthood and help make seniors feel needed and useful.

Games and Ativities
Games and Ativities

Social and physical activities are an important component of any senior living environment. That's largely because these activities help to foster connection and allow seniors to feel like they belong to a dynamic, important community. Therapeutic activities also go a long way towards battling depression and helping seniors feel better about themselves. Activities add purpose to life, which is especially important for retired individuals who have more leisure time. In addition to social activities, many senior living facilities also offer light physical exercise programs. Physical activity is essential to boosting mood and maintaining mobility. Physical activity can also delay the onset of some diseases and slow the progression of others. For example, physical activity is essential to controlling blood pressure, keeping weight gain in check and improving symptoms.

Feeling loved
Feeling loved

We all know how important it is to feel loved, we crave it from an early age, so why should that feeling ever leave us, because we understand that it doesn't we encourage staff to invite their own children in to our home to interact with the residents, and they form some very special relationships based purely on love and affection for each other. Caring for others enhances happiness levels. All of us have an intense desire to be loved and nurtured. Given the importance of the need to be loved, it isn’t surprising that most of us believe that a significant determinant of our happiness is whether we feel loved and cared for.
